First, I just wanted to say that you had a clever presentation. I really enjoyed the logical progression and concepts you were explaining. That being said, after thinking and observing your research paper, I think that there are certain things that would have elevated your analysis of the author. While your thematic connections were excellent, I thought that within both the paper and the presentation there was limited transience between what the Author’s background to its contribution to the texture and meaning of the work as a whole. I thought that the questions overall were very well done, but a tad simplistic. There was a bit of mix in difficulty and variety. But the questions were more direct than what they will likely be on the AP exam in May. Upon reading your passage, for the example of Prose #5, the question was direct—identify and respond. You may want to consider adding more analysis, including the elaboration of the literary elements you asked to find in that question. In and of itself, the poetry question set was better, but both sets could be enhanced through a more sophisticated analysis—challenge your audience and show them what you know about the text!
